How contributions & payments work
Every contribution is processed securely through Stripe — GatherGift never stores your card details. Friends and family can chip in any amount they like, and once contributions clear (usually within 2 business days), you release the full amount to your bank account in a single payout. GatherGift takes no cut of the gift amount; optional tips and charity donations are separate and never reduce the recipient's payout.

A standard Stripe processing fee of 2% + $0.30 per transaction applies for Australian domestic cards. This fee is paid by the contributor at checkout and is never deducted from the gift amount.
