Our Story

We're Dan and Naomi, two parents in Bondi with two young kids — and more birthday parties on the calendar than we can keep track of.

Between the last-minute Thursday night shop (if we're lucky), guessing what the kid might like, and yet another $20-something gift that gets five minutes of play before joining the pile in the cupboard, we kept asking ourselves the same question: is this really the best way to do this?

So we built GatherGift. Instead of fifteen kids turning up with fifteen small gifts, everyone chips in toward the gifts the birthday kid actually wants. No last-minute wrapping, no guesswork, no unwanted gifts stealing focus from the party — just one link, sent to family and friends, going toward something that actually means something.

We're not trying to fix every birthday party. We just wanted a bit less stress, and a bit more party in the party.
